Over the last three years Sinclair Knight Merz, in conjunction with the Department of Justice Victoria, has been instrumental in the design, development and procurement of modular cell accommodation, now located and/or under construction for siting at a number of Victorian prisons.
The innovative self-contained cell designs have been configured in complexes accommodating up to 52 prisoners, in single or shared cells. The sophisticated cell design developed by Sinclair Knight Merz satisfies a range of complex correctional needs, including security, fire safety and response requirements. They provide a quick response to urgent accommodation needs.
