SKM recently made a major contribution to the First International Conference on Railway Technology held in Las Palma de Gran Canaria, Spain, which focused on the rapid developments in railway technologies.

In other news, SKM has been awarded a US$76 million implementation contract for the truckless component of Vale's S11D project in Brazil and the continuous mining EPCM for Codelco’s Andina Division in Chile; tackled climate change and water security issues at Australia’s premier water industry conference and been awarded the 2012 Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency Employer of Choice for Women citation.
