SKM is part of the combined team of Thiess and McConnell Dowell that has been successfully appointed to design and construct the Seaford Rail Extension project in South Australia. Initiated to meet demand from population growth, the project encompasses a 5.7 kilometre extension of the dual track rail line from Noarlunga Centre Railway Station to the Seaford District Centre, including stations, park'n'ride facilities and inter modal interchanges. The project includes a number of bridges, notable a 1.2 kilometre elevated section over the Onkaparinga River Valley.
