Kalu Ganga Water Supply Project, Sri Lanka

Sinclair Knight Merz was appointed by Leighton Contractors to provide engineering designs for the costing of a 90-MLD water supply project serving Greater Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The project includes a 90-MLD water treatment plant, two pumping stations, 43km of transmission pipelines and two river intakes.
The scope of work includes:
- Civil and structural designs of the water treatment plant
- Civil, structural and mechanical designs of the transmission pipelines, two pumping stations and two river intakes
The project team’s work is currently in the final stages and Leighton is expected to finalise their proposal before the end of 2008. Should the project proceed, Sinclair Knight Merz will then generate the detailed designs. |
