In Sydney the Building and Survey groups jointly undertook a project to survey and prepare architectural CAD drawings of a boiler house in the disused White Bay PowerStation.
Below is an image of the point cloud of the eastern wall and below is the resulting measured drawing resulting form the point cloud data. The survey crew took only five days to completely scan the exterior and internal dimensions of the complicated building and its contents, a task which if using traditional methods would have taken a least twice as long.
