Abstract
South West Metro Railway, Package A Design and Documentation forms the cornerstone design contract to the largest public infrastructure project in Western Australia. The Project Team managing and implementing the design services consisted of New MetroRail, Maunsell Australia and Sinclair Knight Merz.
The Joint Venture Design Team, Maunsell - Sinclair Knight Merz, was comprised of more than 100 staff including several staff members from New MetroRail and drew specialist design resources from a further 6 engineering companies. In total, the Joint Venture Design Team expended over 36 man years of works during the 9 month design period.
