Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM) has been present in Indonesia for more than 35 years. The company first started operations in the country through participation in overseas development aid projects funded by organisations such as AusAID and ADB. We now operate as PT. Sinclair Knight Merz, a locally registered Indonesian company.
The team is strong in geothermal energy services – from exploration, drilling and resource assessment, to detailed engineering design and commissioning. We are also engaged in thermal power projects – coal and gas-fired – from pre-feasibility studies to detailed design. We take on bankers and owner’s engineers roles and provide environmental services including licensed AMDAL (EIA) and audit staff. We also have capabilities in civil, structural, electrical, building services and CAD.
Some of our key projects in Indonesia include Darajat Units II (80MW) and III (120MW) Geothermal Power Projects, the Wayang Windu Unit 1 (120MW) Geothermal Power Project and the management of fuel retail facility development programmes.
