Renewable Energy
Sinclair Knight Merz has been involved in the development of many renewable energy projects, through feasibility studies, resource assessments, economic analysis, concept and detail design, and project management. We have experience in hydro power, geothermal power, solar photovoltaic cells, solar thermal systems, wind turbines, energy from biomass (organic matter), and energy from biogas (eg. energy from waste gases at a sewage treatment plant).
We are also well versed in Australian and international renewables policies, including the Australian Government’s +2% Mandatory Renewable Energy Target (MRET), and the outcomes of the international global climate change discussions. We are able to advise on the impact these (and other) policies will have on power project development.
