Safety Audits
SKM Colin Buchanan offer a comprehensive and cost-effective Safety Audit service covering all stages of Safety Audit, from preliminary design (Stage 1) right through to Post Implementation Monitoring (Stage 4 & 5). Our client list includes local authorities across the United Kingdom, as well as road construction companies and consortia, developers and other transport consultancies.
All of our Safety Audits are carried out in accordance with HD19/03 (UK), HD 19/09 (Ireland) and our own Safety Audit guidelines. Our Audit Team includes members of the Society of Road Safety Auditors (SoRSA), a technical branch of IHT and all our Auditors undergo regular refresher training courses.
SKM Colin Buchanan subscribes to the IHS Index, which provides access to the latest technical publications from the Department for Transport, Highways Agency, ODPM, British Standards and others and so we are always aware of the latest technical developments and issue of new guidance.
