The Olympic Route Network/Paralympic Route Network is a particularly high profile piece of work and we are privileged to be contributing to such a major worldwide event.
In addition to work based within the Colin Buchanan offices, four members of the CB staff are on secondment to support Transport for London (TfL) in these networks. The TfL team is creating and integrating a road space design for vehicle (including Games Family traffic) and pedestrian movement in preparation for the Games. This design ensures that the Games Family, pedestrians, and spectators are able to move across Central London in a safe and timely manner and that access is maintained to premises for those living or working in the area during the Games. The team is currently undertaking feasibility and detailed design of traffic and pedestrian management measures and traffic and pedestrian modelling (Transyt, Vissim and Legi.
