Regeneration of Former Ford Foundary

Colin Buchanan has been commissioned by Trilogy Developments Limited to provide highways and transportation advice for the redevelopment of the former Ford Foundry, south of Leamington Spa town centre.
The proposals comprise:
- 12,000sqm of office space;
- A 7,100sqm foodstore;
- 7,000sqm of warehousing, and;
- A 150 bed hotel.
The site is located at the intersection of two strategic A-roads (the A425 and the A452) and acts as a gateway into the town. Our pragmatic approach assesses driver behaviour in addition to standard junction capacity assessments, identifying a strategy to improve traffic flow, which includes improving signs and redesignating lane allocation. In addition, an extensive sustainable transport strategy is being developed, which includes cycle and pedestrian route improvements connecting the site with the town centre.
