Power Reciprocating Engines
Our engineers have been involved in all aspects of reciprocating engine based power stations for both public and private sector clients. Our expertise has been applied to both network connected and island power systems for utility and mineral extraction clients.
Our engineering and project management capability covers power systems ranging from small containerised backup units to 80 MW baseload stations. We have conducted system reviews and trouble-shooting investigations.
We are familiar with the range of engines currently available from most suppliers and have provided technical assistance to several supply and install contractors, on various projects.
Our team of engineers have expertise and experience with:
- High speed, medium speed, and low speed engines
- Baseload and standby applications
- Gas, light and heavy fuel oil storage and handling
- Sea water cooling, cooling towers and radiators
- Desalination and cogeneration
- Turbo compounding
- Engine control, including automatic start, grid synchronisation and load sharing.
